Revell Downs Green Team
We’re excited to announce the official launch of the Revell Downs Green Team. We are committed to preserving the beauty, tree canopy, and natural character of our community. This will be a fun, hands-on group where neighbors work together to make our community even better.
The Green Team will operate as an official committee under the Revell Downs Association, chaired by resident, Jason Barbour.​
The Green Team's Mission:

Mapping and monitoring our neighborhood trees

Launching a Replanting Initiavtive to replace aging Silver Maples (our street lined trees)

Managing invasive vines and plants

Improving/redesigning mulch beds, shrubs, flowers, and other landscaping in common areas and open spaces

Organizing community planting, cleanup, and beautification events

Advising the Board and Architectural Committee on tree-related matters to help preserve and enhance the beauty and arbor health of our community for generations to come

Exploring grant opportunities for neighborhood greening and enhancement projects​
The Green Team will hold friendly, low-pressure volunteer opportunites and provide opportunities to work with neighbors who care about our shared green spaces. Regular updates, planning, and information will be sent through email and coordinated by Jason Barbour. Green Team volunteers will have a login portal to share projects and information. Activities are coordinated through the Board for proper insurance and compliance.
