Reforestation in Our Community

On December 9th, 2024, Jeff Popp, community resident and director of the restoration of AACO Watershed Stewards Academy, and community residents began the first steps in the reforestation of our community. Nine trees (Loblolly Pines) were planted in the South Commons along the perimeter that follows the Broadneck Peninsula Trail, and two were planted outside the South Commons area along the trail. These native trees are fast-growing, provide privacy, and are often used as wind and noise barriers.

Jeff has designed a landscaping plan that will fill in open spaces along East College Parkway and Revell Downs' open space areas and along exposed fence areas behind Foolish Pleasure Court. This proposal has been presented to the HOA Board and will be reviewed again at the January 21st, 2025 meeting. Residents are encouraged to attend the meeting to view this proposal.
